Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc. in Springdale, AR is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with at least five years of geotechnical field and design experience to contribute to site investigations, foundation design, slope stabilization, and reporting.

You will collaborate with project teams, monitor construction activities, prepare technical reports, and help maintain client relationships. A bachelor’s in engineering is required, and a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
• PE license preferred (state of Texas listed as preferred).
• Experience in geotechnical investigations, reports, testing plans, data interpretation, and slope stability/seismic evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations to assess soil and rock conditions.
• Perform geotechnical analysis and calculations.
• Design foundations, retaining structures, and slope stabilization systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate geotechnical considerations.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to geotechnical specifications.
• Prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations.
• Track budgets & project financials for accuracy; invoice clients appropriately.
• Maintain positive business relationships with clients and contractors.
• Participate in professional meetings and/or business development functions as needed.
