Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to contribute expertise on groundbreaking projects. You will conduct site investigations, perform analyses, and design foundations and slope stabilization systems, collaborating with project teams to integrate geotechnical considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License; preference to Texas.
• Experience in geotechnical investigations, geotechnical reports, defining testing plans, interpreting test data, and foundation design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations to assess soil and rock conditions.
• Perform geotechnical analysis and calculations.
• Design foundations, retaining structures, and slope stabilization systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate geotechnical considerations.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to geotechnical specifications.
• Prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations.
• Track budgets and project financials; invoice clients appropriately.
• Maintain positive business relationships with clients and officials.
• Participate in meetings and business development as needed.
