Turner Staffing Group is recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer for a mining operation near Elko, Nevada. This is a direct-hire position supporting safe design, construction, and operations of mine workings and infrastructure.

You'll work with experienced geotechnical staff, mentor/train as you develop, and contribute to slope stability analyses, ground support, and regulatory compliance across open-pit and underground projects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Rock Mechanics preferred.
• 0–5 years geotechnical/mining experience; internships encouraged.
• Working knowledge of rock and soil mechanics; slope stability analysis.
• Experience with Rocscience, GeoStudio, Surpac, Vulcan, AutoCAD, GIS is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Support geotechnical investigations including drilling, sampling, labs, and field mapping.
• Analyze rock mass behavior, slope stability, ground support, and soil mechanics.
• Develop geotechnical models for open-pit and underground operations.
• Run stability analyses and numerical models under supervision.
• Assist with stope sequencing, mine design optimization, and excavation stability.
• Support GCMPs, TARPs, and geotechnical risk management.
• Coordinate with geologists, mine engineers, surveyors, env specialists, and contractors.
• Present findings to site team and management.

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field

Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Rock Mechanics preferred
