Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Elko, Nevada to evaluate soil, rock, and groundwater effects to ensure efficient mining project operations and designs. The role requires 5-8+ years of geotechnical experience and familiarity with geotechnical software and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Rock Mechanics preferred.
• 5-8+ years of mining geotechnical experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations including drilling programs and sampling.
• Analyze rock mass behavior and slope stability.
• Develop geotechnical models for mining operations.
• Perform advanced numerical modeling using FLAC3D.
