ALLWEST Testing & Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.

This role combines fieldwork, technical problem solving, construction involvement, and teamwork on projects across the Pacific Northwest. You will support projects from field exploration through design and construction, perform subsurface investigations, collect and interpret data, and assist with analyses for foundations, slopes, and seismic conditions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil or Geological Engineering or related field.
• Two years of geotechnical engineering experience preferred.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with internal teams, clients, and project partners.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support geotechnical projects from field exploration through design and construction.
• Perform subsurface investigations, including drilling and test pits.
• Collect, evaluate, and interpret field and lab data.
• Assist with analyses for foundations, slopes, seismic conditions.
• Prepare technical documentation and calculations.
• Provide field support and observation during construction.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, clients, and contractors.
