Description

RRC is seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to help us build the future of U.S. energy production from our Round Rock, Texas office. RRC is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm that specializes in energy projects, particularly renewable energy, throughout the United States. Our team has provided professional services to an estimated 25,000 MW of alternative energy projects throughout the United States and in Canada. Being involved in a large percentage of renewable energy projects throughout North America in the past 9 years, our team is among the most experienced group of engineers, scientists and designers in the renewable energy industry.

RRC is seeking a qualified Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support RRC's projects throughout the United States. This position is based in RRC's Round Rock, Texas office.

This position will provide training and mentorship to motivated EITs for career growth within the company in technical and/or project management paths. Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform fieldwork for geotechnical subsurface investigations and geophysical surveys, including drilling, sampling, reconnaissance, soil and rock logging, and communication with contractors and clients.
  • Observe and document geotechnical construction activities and perform construction material testing/inspection during construction phases.
  • Under supervision, perform geotechnical tasks such as reviewing soil and bedrock samples, analyzing test results, foundation design calculations, settlement analysis, slope stability, etc.
  • Perform other engineering activities as required.
