General Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients, including field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, development of plans and specifications, observation and inspection, and report writing.
  • Review drawings and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track project progress, budgets, and recommend changes.
  • Research design and construction problems.
  • Assign, review, and evaluate laboratory or field data for reports.
  • Communicate engineering issues and concepts effectively to technical and non-technical clients and teams.
  • Services may be provided for projects in sectors such as public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Follow safety rules, participate in pre-task planning, and report safety issues.
  • Maintain quality standards on all projects.
  • Assist in research, data collection, field observation, inspection, and testing.
  • Evaluate routine laboratory and field data for reports.
  • Consult with technical staff and supervisors.
  • Perform basic calculations and engineering analysis.
  • Draft routine proposals and assist in complex proposal preparations.
  • Perform plan drafting using CAD software.
  • Work with engineering technician crews on-site and document activities.
  • Work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s in Geotechnical preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI).
