Job summary

Accura Engineering in Nashville, TN seeks a Civil Engineer to support geotechnical projects. You will assist in preparing plans, specifications, and reports, perform calculations under senior engineers, and support design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, 3–5 years of GDOT-related experience, and a Georgia PE license or ability to obtain it. Proficiency with MS Office and exposure to MicroStation/HEC-RAS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or related field.
• Georgia PE license required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of GDOT project experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license

Strong written and verbal communication skills
