The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, is an Engineer in Training, and expects to obtain a PE license within 3–4 years.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Engineer in Training License.
• Ability to obtain PE license in 3–4 years.
• Proficient technical writing, verbal communication, reasoning and time management.
• Able to work independently with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct field investigations and assessments of soil, groundwater, surface water, etc.
• Conduct basic construction observation with QA/QC documentation and field testing tasks.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of field activities and data evaluation.
• Apply academic training and use software to perform calculations and evaluations.
• Perform geotechnical evaluations and use AutoCAD/Civil 3D on projects.
• Draft technical sections of project communications and reports.
• Assist with developing scope of work and cost estimating for proposals on small-to-medium tasks.
• Follow health and safety protocols in all work activities.
• Demonstrate foundational safety behaviors.
