Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer II to join our Atlanta office. You will assist in preparing plans, performing analyses, and supporting design efforts under the guidance of senior engineers.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 3–5 years of geotechnical experience, and a Georgia PE license. Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and strong communication are essential for team collaboration and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of geotechnical engineering experience and GDOT project experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite is expected.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparing engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations under guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and client/agency coordination.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project delivery tasks including budgeting and scheduling.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field
• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working on Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to relevant software such as MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred
