Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Engineer II in Atlanta, GA to contribute to geotechnical investigations and design support.

You will assist in preparing plans, perform basic analyses under senior engineers, and support AutoCAD/Civil 3D design efforts while coordinating with clients and agencies. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 3–5 years geotechnical experience, Georgia PE license, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D; internship

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• GDOT project experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.

Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field
• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working on Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to relevant software such as MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred
