GFT is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical, Dams & Hydraulics team in the Columbus, OH office. The role follows a hybrid work model with minimum 3 days onsite. December 2026 graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 0–3 years geotechnical experience focusing on subsurface exploration or design.
• Interest demonstrated via coursework, internships, or related work.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee subsurface explorations and analyses for various projects.
• Perform geotechnical calculations for foundations, slope stability, and soil with related designs.
• Prepare written reports, geotechnical correspondence, drawings and specifications.
• Plan subsurface explorations and laboratory testing investigations.
• Provide geo-construction observation during construction phases.
