GFT in Mechanicsburg, PA seeks an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical Team. The role follows a hybrid work model with at least three days onsite weekly and supports water resources, transit, rail, highway, and structural projects.

You will assist in planning subsurface explorations, perform geotechnical calculations, and help prepare reports, drawings, and specifications. A Civil Engineering degree (ABET) and 0–3 years of geotechnical experience are required; Driver's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 0–3 years of geotechnical experience focusing on subsurface exploration and geotechnical deliverables.
• Demonstrated interest in geotechnical engineering through coursework or internships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, organized, and able to write reports.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in all seasons.

Responsabilités

• Plan and oversee subsurface explorations for transportation, facilities, water resources, and other projects.
• Perform geotechnical calculations and designs (foundations, slope stability, seepage studies).
• Assist in preparing reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Plan subsurface explorations and laboratory testing.
• Conduct subsurface investigations and site reconnaissance to support design.
• Provide geo-construction observation during construction phases.
