GFT is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical, Dams & Hydraulics team in New York, NY or Woodbury, NY. The role follows a hybrid work model requiring regular office attendance.

You will lead subsurface explorations, perform analyses for transportation, water resources, and other projects, and contribute to drawings, reports, and proposals. Strong communication and leadership potential are valued.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• P.E. license in New York or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 4–8 years of geotechnical experience focusing on subsurface exploration and design deliverables.

Responsabilidades

• Lead geotechnical analysis and design for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and seepage studies.
• Prepare reports, drawings, specifications, and geotechnical correspondence.
• Plan and oversee subsurface explorations and laboratory testing.
• Execute subsurface investigations for geotechnical design and evaluation.
• Assist in preparation of geotechnical and cost proposals.
• Provide construction observation support during projects.
