S&ME in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking an entry-level Geotechnical Engineer to learn from licensed professionals and contribute to field and office work on diverse geotechnical projects.

You will perform field investigations, data analysis, reporting, and environmental inspections while gaining real-world experience through a balanced mix of sitework and technical tasks, mentored by senior engineers and geologists, with opportunities for career growth and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Geology or related field.
• EIT certification pursued with intent to obtain PE licensure in future.
• Strong interest in fieldwork and analytical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations including soil borings, drilling oversight, and sample collection.
• Analyze subsurface conditions and support laboratory testing programs.
• Prepare data tables, figures, and technical reports.
• Perform construction and environmental inspections to ensure compliance with plans and regulations.
• Collaborate with drilling contractors, laboratories, vendors, and project team members.
