Job summary

The Schnabel Engineering Seattle office is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to join our growing geotechnical practice. You will develop both field and analytical skills while contributing to projects as part of a strong team. A passion for learning and professional growth is essential.

Responsibilities include GIS-based planning, boring logs, overseeing subcontractors, basic AutoCAD/GIS tasks, and assisting in geotechnical reports and proposals, with travel as needed for field work.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to perform field work.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

  • Use GIS and GPS to aid geotechnical field work.
  • Log test borings.
  • Oversight of subcontractors.
  • Create basic plans and figures in AutoCAD and GIS.
  • Prepare field reports and review lab tests.
  • Travel for field assignments.
