Michels Corporation invites applications for a Geotechnical Engineer I in Renton, WA. You will work with senior engineers and CAD technicians to develop design submittals for deep foundations and ground improvement systems, applying geotechnical and structural engineering principles and software tools.

Responsibilities include preparing drawings and calculations, involvement in bid-time preliminary engineering, and QA/QC during production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with emphasis in structural engineering or geotechnical engineering
• 0–3 years of related experience or equivalent
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop design submittals for deep foundations and ground improvement systems.
• Prepare drawings and supporting calculations using geotechnical and structural engineering principles.
• Assist with preliminary engineering during bid-time and QA/QC during production.
