Job summary

Michels Corporation seeks a Geotechnical Engineer I to support deep foundation and ground improvement design submissions in Milwaukee, WI.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and CAD technicians to develop drawings and calculations using geotechnical and structural principles. Initial bid-phase work and QA/QC involvement are expected, with emphasis on detail and clear communication. Proficiency in Excel and Mathcad is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical/structural emphasis.
• 0–3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Mathcad.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop design submittals for deep foundations and ground improvement systems.
• Prepare drawings and calculations applying geotechnical/structural engineering principles.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and CAD technicians on projects.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews during production phases.
