Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer I to assist in preparing engineering plans and reports, perform basic calculations, and support design/drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

This is an entry‑level role with hands‑on site work and field data collection. You will conduct site visits, assist with permitting and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.
