Job summary

Mi-Tech, a geotechnical engineering affiliate of the Michels Family of Companies, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to perform analyses and calculations, prepare technical reports, and manage field explorations. You will coordinate geotechnical lab testing and communicate results to project teams.

Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering or MS in Geotechnical Engineering, 3+ years of Geotechnical experience, and progress toward PE licensure.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or MS in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 3+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience.
• In process of receiving a PE license.
• Experience with soil/rock mechanics, slope stability, foundations, tunneling, seismic design.
• Field coordination and observation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare technical engineering reports and findings.
• Manage field explorations, sample collection, geologic reconnaissance and mapping.
• Oversee geotechnical lab testing and communicate results.
