Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking an Engineering Geologist to perform field explorations and geologic reconnaissance as part of their team. This role involves collecting samples, preparing field reports, and conducting geologic interpretations.

The ideal candidate will hold a BS or MS degree in Geology, have at least 2 years of relevant experience, and possess strong basic computer skills. The position includes opportunities for travel nationwide to various project sites.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Geologist, including soil sampling in accordance with USCS standards.
• Experience in geologic interpretation using soil and rock samples retrieved from explorations.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform field explorations, collect samples, conduct geologic reconnaissance.
• Prepare geological subsurface logs and profiles, design cross-sections.
• Conduct and review limited soil index property laboratory testing.
