Job summary

WSP USA in Wexford, PA seeks an entry-level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Earth & Environment Team. You’ll support geohazard identification, investigations, and design on pipelines, transportation corridors, and infrastructure siting.

The role blends fieldwork with office analyses and reports, under senior guidance. You’ll contribute to geotechnical data evaluation, borehole logging, site reconnaissance, and construction-related documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
• Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with design/build concepts and processes.
• Knowledge of remediation, permitting, improvement and construction laws.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering contexts.

Responsibilities

• Work with project teams on geotechnical projects including field observations and data evaluation.
• Conduct field assignments such as site mapping, borehole logging, and QA monitoring.
• Perform engineering analyses, designs, and recommendations.
• Contribute to reports, logs, cross-sections, and cost estimates with senior review.
• Prepare construction drawings, specs, and bid documents.
• Adhere to safety guidelines; adapt to field conditions and remote settings as needed.
