Overview

As a Geotechnical Staff Consultant for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC), you'll be responsible for:

Geotechnical subsurface investigations related to site civil design (building foundations, cut and fill slopes, retaining walls, landslides, and pavements);
• Construction materials testing services for commercial and energy related projects;
• Coordinate or monitor subsurface drilling, obtain soil and rock samples, prepare boring logs, develop laboratory testing programs, interpret laboratory data, perform geotechnical analyses and prepare detailed geotechnical reports;
• Primary project types will be for commercial, institutional, energy, and industrial clients;
• Construction materials testing and project duties will include concrete, foundation, masonry and pavement construction testing;

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geology
• 2+ years of consulting Geotechnical Engineering experience;
• Ability to speak and write professionally;
• Highly motivated, self-starter with the desire to learn quickly and succeed professionally;
• E.I.T. or G.I.T. certification;
• Ability to obtain a Professional Engineer registration;
