Legacy Engineering in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Geotechnical/CMT Staff Engineer to support diverse projects for public and private clients. You will prepare field and lab data, develop geotechnical reports, and assist with proposals and cost estimates.

Formación

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• EIT toward PE preferred.
• Subsurface exploration or construction inspection experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with geotechnical software is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review field reports, internal correspondence, and geotechnical engineering reports.
• Perform geotechnical analyses based on site conditions and requirements to support project designs.
• Evaluate laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
• Review and interpret data and test results.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, plans, technical specifications, and reports, including day to day correspondence.
• Develop and maintain clients and actively participate in professional and related industry organizations.
• Support field instrumentation and monitoring activities.
• Support the office's Geotechnical Engineering and CMT departments as required.
• Follow company safety standards, site safety standards, and provide all required permitting.
• Contact vendors; research literature and regulatory requirements; prepare designs.

Geotechnical/CMT Staff Engineer

The Geotechnical/CMT Staff Engineer will work collaboratively with our knowledgeable geotechnical and materials testing/inspections departments and assist with a wide variety of projects for public and private sector clients. Some duties may include but not limited to; test boring/test pit observations, laboratory analysis, preparation of geotechnical reports/calculation, management of field staff, review of daily field reports.

Skills, Knowledge, Expertise

• BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Familiarity with engineering and construction plans/specifications.
• Prior experience with subsurface exploration or construction inspection a plus.
• EIT working toward PE preferred.
• Familiarity with geotechnical software (i.e., GeoSystems, Gint, L-Pile, MSEW, etc.) a plus.

The compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $115,000/annually, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. If so, the actual salary range may vary from the estimate provided.
