Job summary

Professional Engineering Consultants Limited. seeks a Driller Assistant to support drilling operations in geotechnical projects, with occasional environmental work.

You will assist Driller and Project Engineers, prepare equipment, collect samples, maintain records, and follow safety protocols on field sites across the region. Travel and physically demanding activities are expected, with a focus on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with geotechnical drilling techniques is preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT and IFTA regulations is beneficial.
• HAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driller with field activities including drilling and sampling of geotechnical test borings.
• Load and unload drilling equipment and tools.
• Complete daily paperwork, safety reports, and equipment inspections.
• Attend safety meetings and follow client safety standards.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine field maintenance and repairs.
• Help rig up/down and move to new drill locations.
