Job summary

UES seeks a Driller's Assistant with CDL to support geotechnical drilling operations across multiple sites. You will help with soil exploration, well installations, and site investigations, operating and maintaining drilling equipment while upholding safety and project standards.

The role requires physical labor, ability to travel up to 70% of the time, and the flexibility for overnight or weekend shifts. OSHA training and valid CDL are highly valued, with opportunities for growth in field

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 0–3 years of Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Sciences field experience is preferred.
  • OSHA 40HR training is preferred; must pass and maintain OSHA 40HR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and test soil, concrete, and other construction materials to project specs.
  • Ensure testing equipment functions properly and stays calibrated.
  • Operate drilling-related tools and equipment (jackhammers, pressure washers).
  • Perform manual labor tasks including assembly, rig setup, and site prep.
  • Maintain and clean drilling rigs, trucks, and work areas for safety and reliability.
  • Accurately complete daily time and labor reports and submit paperwork on time.
  • Follow safety policies and industry regulations (OSHA compliant).
  • Travel to job sites and adapt to different schedules and shifts as needed.
  • Perform other duties to support project goals.
