Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Geotechnical Driller for an on-site role in Hermantown, MN. The position pays $35–$45/hour DOE, is full-time, and relocation assistance is available. Expect 50–60 hours per week with hands-on training while operating rigs on geotechnical and environmental projects.

You will collect samples, perform field tests, maintain equipment, and coordinate with crew and engineers, all while following safety protocols and DOT requirements. Local travel is common.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of drilling experience with hands-on rig operation.
• Sampling, field testing, and documentation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work outdoors on uneven terrain.
• 50–60 hours most weeks with regional travel; occasional hotel stays for out-of-town projects.
• Relocate before starting or commute to reporting base.
• Maintain equipment and supervise crew members; work safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate drilling rigs for geotechnical and environmental investigations.
• Collect samples, perform field tests, and maintain field records.
• Transport, inspect, and maintain equipment.
• Guide crew members and coordinate with project managers and engineers.
• Follow DOT requirements and job-site safety procedures.
