MOHR Talent is partnering with a long-standing geotechnical drilling and construction materials testing company that is hiring an experienced Geotechnical Driller / Drill Rig Operator in Hermantown, MN.

The role focuses on operating drilling equipment on project sites, collecting samples, and maintaining field documentation, with travel across the region and significant overtime. DOT/CDL preferred, proper safety practices expected.

Qualifications

• Geotechnical drilling experience is highly preferred.
• Experience operating drilling equipment in outdoor field environments.
• DOT Medical Card preferred.
• CDL preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• MSHA certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
• Comfortable working on uneven terrain and in changing weather conditions.
• Willingness to work 50-60 hours most weeks.
• Ability to travel to job sites throughout the region.
• Strong safety mindset and dependable work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

We’re partnering with a long-standing geotechnical drilling and construction materials testing company that is hiring an experienced Geotechnical Driller / Drill Rig Operator.

This is a strong fit for someone with hands‑on drilling experience who is comfortable working outdoors, operating drilling equipment, traveling to job sites, and putting in steady overtime. The right person understands geotechnical drilling, soil sampling, field documentation, equipment operation, safety, and regional travel.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate geotechnical drilling equipment safely on project sites
