Job summary

CERTERRA is hiring a Geotechnical Driller Helper to join our San Antonio team. This entry level position involves assisting the drilling crew with soil sampling and subsurface exploration projects in outdoor environments.

Travel across Texas and parts of Louisiana is required, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. The role offers hands-on training, a regular full-time schedule, and opportunities for advancement within a growing national firm that values innovation and field experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel to job sites across Texas and surrounding areas.
• Clean background check and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driller with daily drilling operations.
• Support soil and rock sample collection and labeling.
• Maintain and clean drilling equipment and jobsite areas.
• Perform general labor duties as needed.
• Travel to multiple job sites (local and out of town).
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
