Job summary

Terracon in Midvale, UT is seeking a Field Exploration Team Member to perform subsurface exploration using drilling and in-situ testing techniques. You will operate drill rigs, install instrumentation, and participate in site reconnaissance and safety planning.

The role requires 3+ years of field drilling experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work with a small crew on diverse projects across the region. A DOT Medical Card is required within 30 days.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a geotechnical drill rig to advance boreholes to required depths.
• Oversee a 2–3 person drill crew in drilling tasks.
• Install instrumentation and monitoring wells.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment.
• Survey, site reconnaissance and utility clearance tasks.
• Drive all forms of drilling equipment to project locations.
• Inspect and complete routine maintenance of equipment.
• Assist in project preparation and pre-task planning.
