Job summary

Terracon is seeking Explorations Team Members to perform subsurface exploration using drilling and in-situ testing techniques across a variety of projects. You will work in a team, operate drill rigs, install monitoring wells, and perform site reconnaissance while adhering to safety and quality standards.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of experience, and the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of drilling/field experience.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a geotechnical drill rig to advance shallow boreholes in soil.
• Oversee a 2-man drill crew in all tasks associated with drilling operations.
• Install instrumentation and monitoring wells.
• Perform routine repairs and maintenance on equipment.
• Perform basic surveying, site reconnaissance, and utility clearance tasks.
• Drive drilling equipment to project locations.
• Inspect and complete routine maintenance of equipment.
• Follow safety rules and report safety concerns to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
