Job summary

Terracon is seeking Exploration Team Members to perform subsurface exploration using drilling and in-situ testing techniques across various methods. You will oversee a small crew, operate drilling rigs, install monitoring instrumentation, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Required are a high school diploma and at least 3 years of drilling experience, with valid license and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within 30 days. This is a field-based role requiring hands-on fieldwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-years’ experience.
• Proficient in geotechnical and/or environmental drilling methods.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within first 30 days.
• Licensure where applicable for drilling/well installation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a geotechnical drill rig to advance boreholes to required depths.
• Oversee a 2- or 3-person drill crew.
• Install instrumentation and monitoring wells.
• Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment.
• Conduct site reconnaissance and utility clearance tasks.
• Drive drilling equipment to project locations and ensure safety standards.
