Geo-Technology Associates Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Driller for our Sterling, VA office. You will perform geotechnical drilling, direct push explorations, and well installations using hollow stem auger and mud rotary methods.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining drill rigs, logging borings daily, and adhering to state and local regulations. The role is physically demanding, requiring lifting 50+ pounds and outdoor work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• 5 years geotechnical drilling experience.
• Driver's license.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• OSHA training preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

GTA is currently seeking a Geotechnical Driller for our Sterling, VA office.

Successful applicants should have experience with the following:

• Performing day-to-day operation and maintenance of drill rig equipment
• Documenting geotechnical boring with daily logs
• Maintaining a clean and hazard free work area
• Operating within state and local regulations

This is a physically demanding position; successful candidates must have the ability to lift 50+ pounds, have the ability to walk on uneven terrain and in undeveloped wooded areas.

Qualifications

• Driver's License
• Satisfactory driving record
• 5 Years Geotechnical Drilling Experience
• OSHA training and ability to maintain rigs preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

Most of your day will be spent outdoors. Be prepared to work in a variety of weather conditions. This position may require standing for extended durations as well as repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. You must have the ability to use your hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, smell and see (including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus). You must be physically capable of lifting 60 pounds regularly; and occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples). #LI-Onsite
