Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Driller for our Sterling, VA office to perform field explorations and well installations using hollow stem auger and mud rotary methods.

Ideal candidates have 5 years geotechnical drilling experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds while working outdoors in varying conditions and operating drill rigs safely.

Qualifications

• Driver's License is required.
• Satisfactory driving record required.
• 5 years geotechnical drilling experience required.
• OSHA training and ability to maintain rigs is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Overview

GTA is currently seeking a Geotechnical Driller for our Sterling, VA office.

Successful applicants should have experience with geotechnical drilling methods and subsurface explorations as described in the responsibilities below.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical and direct push “Geoprobe” explorations and well installations using hollow stem auger and mud rotary methods.
• Operate and maintain drill rig equipment on a day-to-day basis.
• Document geotechnical borings with daily logs.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
• Operate in compliance with state and local regulations.

This is a physically demanding position. The role requires the ability to lift 50+ pounds, walk on uneven terrain, and work in undeveloped wooded areas.

• OSHA training and ability to maintain rigs (preferred but not required)
