Job summary

Black & Veatch in Overland Park, KS, is seeking an experienced geotechnical engineer to join our staff. This role focuses on developing design materials, performing analyses, and coordinating field investigations across multi-discipline teams.

You will travel 20–40% and contribute to projects from power to water infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and delivering solutions that stand up to real-world conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment checks (criminal/civil background, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop design materials for project assignments with multi-discipline teams.
• Perform analysis, design calculations, design sketches, and geotechnical design reports.
• Coordinate, manage geotechnical field investigations.
• Coordinate, observe, and document geotechnical construction activities such as grouting and deep foundations.
