ECS Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Department Manager to lead our geotechnical engineering team in the Charlotte office. This role oversees departmental operations, technical execution, and financial performance, aligning with ECS Core Values.

The leader will direct project managers, engineers, and staff, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction while driving growth and resource optimization across the geotechnical practice.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of related experience in geotechnical engineering and leadership roles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or similar.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiary.

Responsabilidades

• Directs engineers, Project Managers, technicians, and support staff to deliver projects.
• Owns performance management, coaching, career development, and succession planning.
• Builds and maintains a high-performing department aligned with workload and growth.
• Leads recruiting, hiring, and retention strategies for the geotechnical team.
• Oversees project execution, safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Manages department P&L, budgets, forecasts, and key metrics.
