Job summary

Schnabel's Boise office is seeking a Project Geotechnical/Dam Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will work on dam and water-infrastructure projects across the Northwest and US, with focus on design, analyses, and field activities.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree (ABET), 4+ years of relevant experience, PE or EIT, and strong report writing skills in English. Travel and field work are expected; AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE licensure or EIT with path to licensure.
• 4+ years of design- and/or construction-oriented consulting experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design components related to dams and water infrastructure.
• Slope stability and seepage analyses.
• Prepare reports, plans, and specifications.
• Assist project managers with coordination and field tasks.
• Perform dam and hydraulic structure inspections and data collection.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams across Schnabel offices.
