Job summary

ICOP is seeking a motivated Area Manager to support preconstruction and business development for geotechnical construction projects in the Metro DC region. This role bridges engineering, sales and operations—working with owners, developers, general contractors, engineers and internal teams to pursue opportunities and secure profitable work.

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering foundation, understands geotechnical construction methods, and excels at building long‑term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction with geotechnical background preferred.
• Ability to read geotechnical reports and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, and consulting engineers.
• Identify and qualify new project opportunities within the Metro DC / Northeast market.
• Represent the company at client meetings and industry events; support proposal development and interviews.
