Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants in Acton, MA is seeking a Practice Builder to lead geotechnical/geostructural engineering initiatives, drive business development, and manage client relationships across projects with a sell‑manage‑do approach.

The role requires 10+ years in consulting, PE licensure, and a track record of proposal leadership and staff mentoring. Travel may be required, and a bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical/structural engineering is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant consulting experience.
• Proven business development, client management and proposal leadership.
• Knowledge of geotechnical engineering software and numerical modeling tools.
• Willingness to travel and meet deadlines.
• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development, proposals, and client relationship building.
• Mentor staff and manage subcontractors on multiple projects.
• Oversee delivery within scope, budget, and schedule with quality.
• Perform geotechnical or geostructural design & analyses.
• Characterize geotechnical sites and manage instrumentation systems.
• Prepare reports, calculations, drawings, specs and permits.
• Engage in fieldwork and travel to project sites as needed.
