Job summary

Mi-Tech Services, Inc. in Washington state is seeking a Civil Design Engineer specializing in geostructural and temporary works.

You will assist in designing and analyzing temporary and permanent structures for utility, infrastructure, and heavy civil projects, under supervision of experienced engineers. You will prepare calculations, review drawings, assess loads and soil-structure interaction, and support pursuits with early engineering analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant engineering experience; internships/co-ops acceptable.
• Foundational knowledge of structural analysis, engineering mechanics, reinforced concrete/steel design.
• Familiarity with engineering calculations, technical drawings, and design documentation.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering and construction teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations for temporary and permanent structures.
• Develop and review design and shop drawings.
• Evaluate structural loads and soil-structure interaction.
• Support project pursuits with preliminary engineering analyses and design evaluations.
• Collaborate with structural/geotechnical engineers, PMs, and field teams.
