Job summary

Mi-Tech Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Design Engineer specialized in geostructural and temporary works in Washington state. You will assist in designing foundations, retaining walls, earth retention systems, excavation support, and temporary structures for utility and heavy civil projects.

You’ll perform calculations, create and review drawings, assess loads and soil-structure interaction, and aid in early project pursuits. Growth opportunities exist within the Michels Family of Companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant engineering experience (internships, co-ops acceptable).
• Foundational knowledge of structural analysis, mechanics, and reinforced concrete/steel design.
• Familiarity with engineering calculations, drawings, and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations and review design and shop drawings.
• Evaluate structural loads and soil-structure interaction.
• Support early project pursuits with preliminary analyses and design evaluations.
• Collaborate with structural/geotechnical engineers, PMs, and field teams.
