Job summary

Esri is seeking an Application Developer to join the Geo Experience Center team to build prototype applications that explore digital cartography and advanced map visualizations. You will work with JavaScript, TypeScript, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, and modern web frameworks to test ideas and visualize spatial data.

Collaborate with diverse teams to create prototypical maps and GIS experiences, applying Esri’s geospatial technology in innovative ways for real-world use cases.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript.
• Experience with modern web application frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Svelte).
• Experience with CI/CD and code management systems.
• Foundational understanding of digital cartography, data visualization, or geospatial app development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain prototype applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
• Design and implement user experiences for web apps, visualizations, and map-based workflows.
• Prototype web maps, scenes, and spatial data visualizations for browser-based contexts.
• Collaborate with core development and SDK teams during release cycles to provide feedback on APIs, beta capabilities, and documentation.
• Explore WebGL and browser-based real-time visualization for 2D/3D spatial experiences.
