Job summary

BCore in Springfield, VA, seeks a Geospatial Systems Software Engineer with an active TS clearance (SCI eligibility) for a hybrid role (1 day work-from-home). You will design, deploy, and test enterprise GIS apps using Python, C#, C++, HTML, and JavaScript, and work with ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoServer, and other geospatial tools.

You will contribute to RMF compliance, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, and AI/ML system support in an agile DevSecOps team.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5–10+ years of GIS/software development experience.
• Proficiency with DevSecOps workflows and security best practices.
• AGILE software development experience and Git-based version control.
• Deep familiarity with GIS platforms and OGC standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, customize, deploy, and test enterprise GIS applications.
• Develop with Python, C#, C++, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Create and maintain user guides and configuration notes in GitLab.
• Implement geospatial data acquisition, preparation, and conversion.
• Support RMF compliance for access controls and system security.
• Manage ArcGIS Enterprise access roles and permissions.
• Configure and troubleshoot WMS/WFS/WMTS/WCS and OGC API– Features.
• Integrate Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift for containerization.
• Support AI/ML/DL system aspects including data management and model validation.
• Conduct QA/QC, code reviews, and lifecycle compliance.
• Remediate vulnerabilities from SCA and container scans; align with STIGs.
• Collaborate in requirements analysis, design, and DevSecOps practices.
• Work with COTS tools like ENVI, RemoteView, Erdas Imagine, ArcGIS.
