Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP (WRA) in Baltimore, MD seeks an experienced Survey Technician for Computations to join our Survey team. The role focuses on processing field data, GNSS/RTK sessions, and network adjustments to support geodetic control networks.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience, a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), and proficiency with InRoads/Open Roads, Star*Net, and Civil 3D. This is a full-time position with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state equivalency required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read cursive.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• LSIT certification (preferred).
• Experience processing MDOT SHA field files in InRoads/Open Roads (preferred).
• Experience computing baseline or property boundary geometry in Civil 3D (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Download, evaluate, adjust and process raw field data for Geodetic Survey Control Networks including GNSS/GPS static sessions, network RTK observations, base-rover RTK, robotic total station traverse, and digital differential leveling.
• Research and compute/translate existing Survey Control Stations.
• Develop Network Planning Sketches for field work.
• Coordinate observations with multiple field crews as needed.
• Adjust observations in StarNet least-squares adjustment.
