Job summary

AllTerra Central, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service geospatial equipment while delivering excellent customer service. You will work independently, manage repair orders, and communicate status and costs to customers.

The role requires electronics training or related technical schooling, soldering experience, and strong computer skills with MS Office. On-site position with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Electronics training or experience in a related technical field.
• Two years of vocational or technical school education.
• Experience with soldering and electronic component repair.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment issues using manuals and troubleshooting procedures.
• Prioritize and process repair work FIFO.
• Log incoming equipment and accessories into the service system.
• Prepare repair estimates and obtain customer approval.
• Communicate repair status, timelines, and costs to customers.
• Create and manage service orders from intake to completion.
• Coordinate shipping of repaired equipment and third-party items.
• Process warranty claims and related repairs.
• Maintain relationships with manufacturers and service vendors.
• Provide technical assistance to internal teams and customers.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and record-keeping.
• Stay current on required training, certifications, and product knowledge.
• Answer incoming calls and provide technical support as needed.
