Job summary

Shipt, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist focused on geospatial intelligence to advance location-based models for last-mile logistics. You’ll handle GPS traces, routing signals, and geospatial datasets, turning insights into operational systems.

You will collaborate with product managers, logistic operators, and software engineers to deploy scalable solutions. The role requires advanced degree in quantitative field and hands-on experience with Python ML libraries and distributed data platforms.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, CS, or other quantitative field.
Experience building production ML models deployed in real-world systems.
Experience with geospatial data (GPS traces, spatial indexing, routing).
Strong understanding of predictive modeling, experimentation & causal inference.
Strong Python skills with pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Ability to work with large datasets and distributed systems (Spark, BigQuery, Snowflake).

Responsibilities
