Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York seeks a Sr. Manager Geospatial Innovation Architect to oversee the GIS platform's reliability, performance, and scalability.

You will govern data standards and manage enterprise GIS databases and map services to support LIRR operations and capital projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum seven years of related experience in Planning, Asset Management, or GIS with understanding of regional issues at LIRR.
• Excellent analytical, transportation planning, asset management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong GIS knowledge including Esri ArcGIS Server/Portal and data standards.
• Experience with EAM integrations (Hexagon EAM, IBM Maximo) and GIS data integration.
• Programming/scripting with Python, R, Go, JavaScript, SQL for automation and ETL.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the GIS platform, databases, map services, and server environments.
• Develop dashboards, maps, and data visualizations for maintenance and investment decisions.
• Coordinate EAM integrations and external data sources; ensure data security and standards.
• Develop GIS-based automation scripts for maintenance tasks and workflows.
• Ensure fully tested applications with clear documentation and governance.
