Job summary

Esri`s Professional Services team seeks a seasoned database professional to design and operate mission-critical data platforms across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments powering ArcGIS-driven systems. Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA.
• SQL and Python scripting for automation and data workflows.
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
• Understanding of geospatial concepts such as spatial data types and indexing.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• US citizenship with Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Design robust, scalable, and secure database solutions to support mission-critical applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment.
• Configure and maintain database environments, including backup, restore, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environments.
• Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projects.
