Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Technical Consultant – Enterprise Data Engineer focused on geospatial data and platforms. You will design robust databases, automate workflows, and ensure security across environments.

The role requires strong SQL/Python skills and hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise geodatabases. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive requirements through deployment while upholding high standards for performance, reliability, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for major RDBMS.
• Familiarity with data loading, backup/recovery, performance monitoring, and security.
• Automation and scripting in SQL and Python for workflows.
• Exposure to geospatial concepts and spatial indexing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions for mission-critical apps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through requirements, design, build and deployment.
• Configure and maintain database environments with HA, backup and DR strategies.
• Monitor and tune performance using industry-standard tools and query optimization techniques.
• Implement data security measures and compliance across environments.
• Automate routine loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to boost efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance on database design, migration, and integration projects.
