Job summary

Topographic, Inc. is seeking a Geospatial Technician I who is self-motivated, dependable, and a strong team player to contribute to LiDAR, photogrammetry, survey, and GIS projects.

You will calibrate, classify, and extract point clouds across mobile, aerial, and terrestrial data, collaborate with field crews, and use Microstation, Terrasolid, Global Mapper, Phoenix LiDAR Suite, Pix4D and AutoCAD to deliver accurate geospatial data for transportation and related projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fast learner with ability to grasp technical principles and surveying tech.
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, analytical.
• Ability to read and interpret field notes and sketches.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and drafting reports.
• Basic understanding of survey procedures and field data collection methods.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with internal personnel.
• Calibrate, classify, and extract mobile, aerial, and terrestrial point clouds for projects.
• Coordinate with field crews to ensure work is complete and meets quality expectations.
• Coordinate with other employees regarding project schedules.
• Use Microstation, Terrasolid, Global Mapper, Phoenix LiDAR Suite, Pix4D, and AutoCAD to create/edit geospatial data.
• Establishes and maintains schedules and provides progress reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
